I noticed that tying up your button-up blouse is becoming a thing again. I wanted to incorporate the look with a maxi skirt, but the twenty button-ups in my closet were heavily patterned. To top it off, all my thicker belts are too big for my midriff. Luckily, Goodwill is a two minute car ride away, so I quickly searched for a basic black button-up and a chunky black belt. The ladies section came through for me with this top, but it had adjustable sleeves that didn't fit my vision. Nothing scissors couldn't handle. I'm loving how the shirt has worker man vibes, but tying it up makes it instantly feminine. When I was trying this grommet belt on with this skirt I wasn't sure, but my boyfriend convinced me it worked. These belts are adjustable friendly and this particular one was thick enough to hide the cheap waistband of my skirt. This leather bag is totally 2000's, with it's cell phone compartment. Personally, I just pop in a chapstick for easy access. I tried researching the meaning of my Chinese character necklace and the type of flower on my skirt, but was unsuccessful. If anyone has a clue, please let me know : )
